BMW G310 Modified Into Scrambler Style By Smoked Garage (Indonesia)

BMW Motorrad has finally unveiled the highly-awaited G 310 R series. The leading German motorbike manufacturing company had showcased both the G 310 R & G 310 GS bike series at the latest Auto Expo 2018. The all-new 300cc bike by BMW draws its lineage from the elder sibling –the BMW S1000R.

Indonesia based Smoked Garage modified a BMW G310 into a custom Scrambler. The BMW G310 was newly launched and Smoked Garage got an idea to make it a scrambler and the result is just amazing.

Most of the parts of this bike is modified or changed and the whole body is redesigned into a custom scrambler. At the front it has a custom LED round head lamp which is covered with a frame sort of a caged look. It also has a custom handle bar which has most of the front component such as side mirror and the side indicator. The back portion misses the side indicator. It also has a custom front fender and custom made engine belly pan. This modification holds a custom built fuel tank with BMW logo on it.

The G 310 R bike series by BMW is the first sub-500cc bike launched by the leading bike manufacturing company. Though the BMW G 310 R had made its appearance in the Indian market earlier at Auto Expo 2016, the latest unveiling of the bike at Auto Expo 2018 was all about the launching of the India-debut GS.

Most of the unnecessary part of the bike is removed for clean look and lighter body. At the rear portion, the rear fender is removed and it has a custom exhaust system and a custom made seat. The tail lamp is a LED strip which is below the seat it looks like it is inside the seat.

The all-new G 310 R by BMW makes use of the revolutionary 313cc backward-tilted, liquid cooled, fuel injected single cylinder engine motor. The well-sculpted tank of the bike along with the unique, angular tank shrouds indicate the design features of the bike model BMW S1000R. The BMW G 310 R features an all-digital instrument console known for reading the essentials including speedometer, odometer, tachometer, gear indicator, tripmeter, and so more.

The all-new BMW G 310 R features an engine displacement of 313cc claiming the top speed of 143 kmph. In terms of the overall design, the bike takes cues from the predecessor model BMW S1000R series. The bike has been designed to unveil the sense of aggressiveness with the major concentration being given to the front end. At the same time, the stubby tail of the sports a sense of lightness.

The engine of the bike is able to produce 34 PS of power at 9500 rpm. The engine also produces the peak torque value of 28 Nm. Power to the entire bike is transmitted to its rear wheel through the 6-speed transmission gearbox. 

The G 310 R uses a unique |||backward-tilted 313cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor which produces 34PS of power and 28Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted |||to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. The roadster has a fuel tank capacity of 11L, similar to the KTM 390 Duke.

BMW G310R has been made to make its place in Indian hearts and thus the pricing has to be decided accordingly. Initially, G310R was expected to be priced close to Rs 2.20 lakhs, but as per the recent reports, there won’t be much difference in the price of KTM Duke 390 and BMW G310R. It is expected to be priced around INR 2.50-2.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
