Hero Honda CBZ is one of the most popular motorcycle of its time, carrying a 156.8 cc single cylinder engine that is good for 12.8 BHP at 8000 rpm and 12.45 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. It came with a 5-speed gearbox and claimed a top speed of 113 kmph.
The bike is also offered with a sporty dashboard which has 3 dials, one for the speedometer, one for the rpm indicator and another for the fuel indicator.
This is modified Hero Honda CBZ into a cafe racer style by UCM Bike Customs. This was an old model of Hero Honda CBZ and for this modification, redesign of full body was needed and most of the body parts were chopped and rebuild. This modification is really simple and was easily achieved.
There is a new handle bar on offer while the split seats and revised front and rear fenders add to the looks of the bike.
As talking about the modification the frame is redesigned, the rear part is chopped for cafe racer style. The paint job is orange and black combination.
The rear fender is custom made and it is attached to the seat which also holds the number plate. The seat itself is a cafe racer style seat. Talking about the front it has a custom made orange painted fuel tank with the modifier custom logo. The handle bar is changed into a clip-on handle bar which holds the aftermarket side mirror. The headlamp is a classic round headlamp. The front fender is also custom made and is painted in orange.
The motorcycle weighs 138 kg and carries 12.5 liter fuel tank. It was discontinued back in 2007 as the Hero Honda was about to witness a split. The high performance motorcycle was sold without alloy wheels and tubeless tyres while its major rival at that time was Bajaj Pulsar 150. Both the bikes were the only options available in the economical segment.
The Xtreme Sports comes with a 149.2cc engine and gets a bump in power and hence it churns out 15.6bhp of power. The engine is mated to the same five-speed constant mesh gearbox. The bike is offered in five paint schemes – Panther Black, Mercuric Silver, Fiery Red, Pyro Orange, and Black/Red.
At the heart of the Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme lies an air cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder, OHC, 149.2 cc engine which delivers a maximum output of 14.4 hp at 8500 rpm and 12.8 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The ride quality is assured by front telescopic hydraulic suspensions and a rear rectangular swing arm with 5 step adjustable gas reservoir suspension. On the other hand, the stopping power is assured by front 240 mm and rear 220 mm discs.
Xtreme Sports is targeted at young customers and hence Hero has made it stylish. It gets a redesigned cowl near the fuel tank and one underneath the engine. The headlamp and the instrument cluster have been revised.
CBZ X-treme is the extension of CBZ which was launched in 1999 and was a market leader. The bike is fitted with 150cc aircooled single cylinder with 4 stroke OHC engine that generates 14ps power @8500 rpm.
